Football Season!

Football, America’s pastime, throwing the ole’ pigskin. I don’t know if you are excited, but I sure am! Whether you like college football, NFL, or just like attending high school games, there is no denying the excitement for football is here. Tension has been building with the NFL lockout all summer long but now that it is finally over football fans everywhere can celebrate! So what does that mean? Being who I am, all I can say is “event!” Don’t know how to plan a football themed event? That is what I am here for! I am going to go over some basic things you need to consider to help you achieve the perfect football themed event!

Budget. You must know your budget before you begin. Once you have gotten your budget, figure out what you are looking for and how much you are willing to spend to achieve the results you want. Write out what you are willing to spend more or less on. Detail your budget so you know exactly how much you can spend on all the little things and al the big things.

Audience. Who are you targeting? What kind of football do they like to watch? If you are working for a college, you might want to focus on the college team on campus. If you are working for a company, maybe you want to focus on college and NFL teams. Maybe you could even incorporate some Fantasy Football into your event.

Venue. Where are you going to host the event? Is it accessible? Does it cost anything for you to rent out? Is it at a location that your audience can easily get to? Think about your audience when choosing your event?

Advertising. How is your targeted audience going to be informed of your event?

Purpose. What is the purpose of your event? What will be occurring at the event? Be creative! There is so much you can do with a football theme! BIG Changes!

I know I haven’t been updating this blog as I should for all of you but all of that is about to change! I have a new plan for the blog! Not only will I highlight my Game Girl game each week, but I will be highlighting various events as well! If you have a big event coming up that you have already booked with us, you might see your event on our blog a few days after your event is over. I welcome you to share the blog post about your event with all of your friends. This is just my way of saying thanks and a way to show others how amazing our clients are! Who doesn’t like a little bit of spotlight time? All of this will be started in the next couple of weeks. Things are about to get busy around here and I want each of you to see the great things that are happening. Who knows, you might even get an idea or two from another event featured! I can’t wait to get started on this project for each of you. In the mean time, keep reading my Game Girl posts and checking our Facebook and Twitter for any updates.

First, I must apologize for my horrible lack of blogging. I just got overwhelmed with all of the awesome new games that we are now offering and I was so busy doing “market research” to figure out how my awesome fans could use them all for their events that I totally slacked on my blogging duties.

But my New Year’s resolution is to get back to the blog. The first thing you will notice is a change in the types of posts. You are not going to see the game of the week here. Nope, for that you will have to subscribe to my newsletter. Instead, this will be the forum for me to show you how to use those games as a part of your event. Because by now you know – we are way more than a rental company. We are your event partner and want to help you maximize the fun for your guests!

There is nothing like seeing soldiers let loose and ride the Mechanical Bull or challenge one of their comrades to a battle on the Pedestal Joust! An Open Letter to Santa

Hello! I hope you’ve gotten your rest for the days ahead. I have a big list and you’ll need your strength to pull it off for me. Well a few months ago I ask for a carnival trailer. Now I cannot say for sure but I really think that the GINOURMOUS package wrapped up in the back of the office is it! Like I said I can’t be sure but it’s a pretty good guess.

So since I have already gotten the one and only thing I have wanted, I thought it would be a good idea to get some things for my friends. We all work together and they are more than friends, they are like family to me. If you could put everything right next to my carnival trailer…I mean…my surprise present, everyone will be so excited!
Okay?

Here is what I need….

• A flat Screen for Jordan.
• A Donovan Mcnabb jersey (pink), please for Lori.
• Two tickets to Nassau, Bahamas for Tane’ Ya so that she can visit her sisters and brothers.
• Peace at Karen’s house…please make her daughters stop fighting.
• Some balance and time off for Kelly to spend with her family and friends.
• Please get Dave and his family back to WARM Atlanta (compared to Michigan, anyplace is warm) safely!
• Some time off with family for Geb.
• A little respect for the hard work that our VP of Security, Murphy does everyday.

I think that’s it Santa. Whatever you can do, we here at Amusement Masters will be grateful. We appreciate you and your hard work Santa – take care!!

Breaking News – New Crew Member!!

WOWZERS!!

Just got the news that our General Manager had a healthy, happy baby boy!!!

Gavin Michael Gebhardt 8lbs, 6oz arrived today, June 24, 2009!!! Mother, Baby and GM are all doing great!

Cute kid, huh!! He even has my initials Be sure to leave your well wishes for the Gebhardt family here – I will make sure they get them. Cool Beans – this ROCKS!!

Hi! I’m Gigi,

Not many people can say that they love their work, but I’m happy to say that I do! I mean, doesn’t this sound like fun?

 Researching top-of-the-line equipment to purchase
 Customizing giveaway activities with client logos
 Designing amusement concepts for killer events
 Reorganizing the warehouse to make space for more inventory
 Solving complicated logistical puzzles
 Checking Facebook and Twitter for hip and happening news

…and that’s just before breakfast!

The rest of the time, I’m working with my team at Amusement Masters setting up and working events. It’s a funny thing; the events are as varied as all the possible combinations of 140 characters, but they all have one thing in common… all the guests are smiling!

Seriously, wouldn’t you enjoy a day in the life of Game Girl?
